Recent Cow Paintings

I'm posting some paintings of cows I've finished recently. Cows are so much fun to paint. They are so befuddled by my actions of setting up a wooden structure, smearing goo around on a board, all the while talking to them. I speak Cow. They make great models though, they're so still as they stare at me unlike my dogs. Enjoy.

Hope the summer is going well for everyone. Here are some new summer paintings I've been working on. They are all for sale on ebay.com if you're interested. Enjoy.

Whew. I finally figured out how to add a post to my blog. I spent a beautiful week with my Mom, painting and searching for sea glass.  Here are two very fast "plein air" sketches I did at J.R.'s. The table shown in the painting is actually an old street lamp from Pasadena with an Egyptian brass tray balanced on it. I'm moving into my first Studio space this weekend. Update soon (Now that I know how the blog works).

Painting a week

This is my first post on my new blog. I am going to post a new painting each week and work up to posting a painting daily. This is a painting I did for my brother who is an avid surfer. I haven't given it to him because my teenage son, who was demonstrating his skill as a ninja, poked a hole in it with his bamboo double-sided saber. It needs repairing.
